Buprestis maculativentris - Belgrade, 44.5438, -69.7955, Kennebec County, Maine, USA July 22, 2003 Size: 18 mm
On side of house in bright sunlight. These are very common in Maine late July to mid August. I have seen them in bright sun on various dead and distressed Abies, Picea, and Pinus species, but never on Thuja or Tsuga.
