Same Species? -
Telamona monticola
Near Ruraldale, Upshur County, West Virginia, USA

Is mine the same species, Telamona maculata, as the one just posted?
Looks structurally the same. Mine has a yellow saddle and some yellow flecks missing from the other hopper posted. Mine was on Honey Locust.

Telamona monticola
This photo is very dark. If you lighten it considerably, you can see that the crest is swept back (it is erect in T. maculata).
Telamona monticola is an oak treehopper. Presumably this one strayed onto nearby honey-locust.
