Milkweed Tussock Moth broods

I found a few of these and successfully reared them all to cocoon, so far. They pupated on Aug. 15, 2011, in lower Pennsylvania. Will these overwinter in cocoon, or hatch in a few weeks?

according to...
Wagner's Caterpillars of Eastern North America, the milkweed tussock moth " pupa overwinters in a cocoon that Forbes (1960) described as felted."

Ok thanks!
I wasn't sure, since the series here showed pupae hatching within a few weeks.

maybe
i wonder if there is more than one generation per year?

not in north
Wikipedia says:
"One generation per year in the north, two or more in the south"
