Unknown cavernicolous millipede (Image #1) - Auturus evides
Clayton County, Iowa, USA
August 6, 2011
Size: 2.0 cm (estimated)
Observed in the twilight zone of a cave. My guess is Eurymerodesmus sp., I know some species of this genus are troglophilic. I do not know of any documented records of this genus in a cave in Iowa however. This is one of two photographs of this specimen.
