Moved from Unidentified Galls.
I collected some of these from black & scrub oak on Nantucket a few months ago.

Looks like a Tribble.

I hope it doesn't start multiplying out of control:-)

Looks a lot like...
these, but couldn't possibly be the same kind of oak. Do you know what kind of oak it was, and did you save the galls?

Maybe red oak
I did keep all the galls from today and they all were from the same type of oak at Mount Watatic.
