Hopper adult on ?muscadine grape - Ormenoides venusta

Hopper adult on ?muscadine grape - Ormenoides venusta
Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida, USA
June 8, 2006
Size: 7 mm
I went back to the vine (I'm 90% sure it's muscadine grape) where I found interesting hopper nymphs three weeks ago, and found several of these adults - the adult of the same species, I believe - there was even one last nymph hanging out with them. I also brought one home to measure, and in case more details are needed.

The nymphs are below:

Ormenoides venusta
Congratulations!

This is the only unmarked flatid planthopper in the eastern USA that has the wing crossveins almost completely random - only a single row of them parallels the wing edge.

Thanks!
I will move all the relevant pictures to the species page.
