Dung Beetle - Ateuchus

Dung Beetle - Ateuchus
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
August 17, 2011
Found in sweep net. Perhaps something in Ateuchus? Thanks

Moved
Moved from Beetles.

Ateuchus yes...
I believe (don't have my references at work, so don't hold me to this) there is the potential for two species in your area. The best way to separate them is a lateral view of where the pronotum and elytra meet.

Lateral View
Found another specimen with lateral view showing pronotum/elytra
