sawfly larva - Arge

sawfly larva - Arge
City of Greater Sudbury, Fairbank Lake, Ontario, Canada
August 14, 2011
Size: approx 2.25cm
Many of these were well hidden and munching on Oak leaves, as soon as I moved the branch they took up this curved position. Is this larva of a moth or sawfly perhaps???

Argidae
Arge sp. One species is known to feed on oak, Arge quidia. These larvae look somewhat different (too many black spots) and can't be sure of their identity.

Sawfly larvae
Something in Arge, I think. (I'm not an expert)
