New note from Gayle -
"56499, 56502, 56646 Very interesting! I am satisfied that this is a male L. needhami, but some features suggest L. auripennis. First, features diagnostic for L. needhami: Area forward of mesopleural suture clearly pale. Hind tibia brown.
And now for the rest of the story: #56499 shows a uniformly bright costa. Possibly angle of sun? #56502 & 56646 show a darker inner half of the costa, but the contrast is not great. Possibly mixed heritage? I haven't seen any information about hybrids."
Check out the images on the link from the INFO page. This would certainly seem to be classic needhami based upon the research the Stricklands have done for all the reasons above plus we think we see four cells on the left rear wing. We will move it there, but feel free to disagree.

Golden-Winged
This is a Golden-winged Skimmer. Nice image!
