Some thoughts
I recently reared a moth (below) that I ID'd as
Euchaetes perlevis
based on a tentative ID of a similar moth from Bob Patterson. I have this moth pinned and drying and it looks exactly like yours although the FWL is 12mm. It bothers me that the larva is unlike other
Euchaetes
but I haven't found any larva pics of
Pygarctia
to compare to. I posted another live example (shown below) where the hindwing is visable. Any thoughts?
