prickly situation - Carebara longii - female

prickly situation - Carebara longii - Female
Austin, Wild Connections, Travis County, Texas, USA
September 17, 2008
Size: female about 8 mm
After the male flew off, the female just remained where she was. I think she might have been pierced by at least one cactus spine!
