Braconid Wasp - Meteorus - female

Braconid Wasp - Meteorus - Female
Ballston Lake, Saratoga County, New York, USA
August 19, 2011
Size: ~ 4.5 mm
Today this wasp emerged from a cocoon that I collected from a poison ivy leaf. The cocoon appeared identical to this one, but slightly smaller. ID help appreciated.

Moved from Braconid Wasps. Thanks, Ross!

Meteorus…
Fits the description for females including the size, long slender petiole, a short stout ovipositor, a quadrate forewing cell, and a slightly humpbacked appearance. The cocoon is also similarly shaped and sized (4-5mm) to those we typically see in Meteorus.

See reference here.
