ID?
How was the ID determined? There are many similar caterpillars that remain unidentified, including some of mine.

I have a few that I haven't submitted because I wonder whether they can be identified.

caterpillar
I just decided upon the ID after comparison with the other caterpillars that were identified as such on BG and on other sites. The white dots on the segments seem to be characteristic although it may be that other Archips sp. also show the same markings. Perhaps it would be safer just to move this selection back up to the genus or even tribe and just place those caterpillars which have been raised to adulthood at the species level. This whole group of Choristoneura and Archips is very confusing.

Sorry for all the moves. I had tagged this group and then went and tagged some wasp photos to move and did the whole group at once.
