Black Setwing? - Libellula incesta

Black Setwing? - Libellula incesta
Inks Lake State Park, Burnet County, Texas, USA
August 8, 2011
Saw several of these near a stream at Inks Lake State Park. I can't seem to find any other all black varieties without other marking ruling them out aside from the Black Setwing.

Don't know, but
my sense is that this is not a setwing, based partly on shape and posture. Slaty Skimmer comes to mind, but that's just a guess.

Slaty Skimmer
I think John is right with Slaty Skimmer.

Agree - Slaty Skimmer (male)
The abdomen is too wide and the wing posture is wrong for a Black Setwing.
