A Mexican Polyergus - Polyergus topoffi - Female

Size: 6 mm
These were returning from a raid for Formica gnava pupae, in a pine-oak-cedar woodland, in late afternoon. This was at the time of the picture an undescribed, primarily Mexican species that makes it up to southern Arizona.
