Olympic Peninsula Moth - Macaria

Olympic Peninsula Moth - Macaria
N. Fork Quinault River @ Elip Creek, Jefferson County, Washington, USA
August 21, 2011
Size: 13mm

Moved
Moved from Venusia.

looks more like Macaria than Venusia
likely Macaria signaria - Pale-marked Angle - Hodges #6344, with the pale white arc in the subterminal area.

I agree- sorry got in a hurry.
I was just looking at a Venusia and had that in mind but it is Macaria - either signaria or unipunctaria. I get 100% DNA matches for both species in my specimens a bit south of where this was collected.

Moved
Moved from Moths.

Looks like a quite worn Venusia
... cannot tell if V. cambrica or obsoleta.
