I vote for Aphrodite Fritillary (Speyeria aphrodite)
The Atlantis Fritillary (Speyeria atlantis) has blacker wing margins above (look especially at the hindwing):
and the Great Spangled Fritillary (Speyeria cybele) has a wide cream submarginal band below:

I suspected Aphrodite, but this would be a new species for me and also, a first from New York State at BugGuide.net. I'd like to wait and see if there are more comments before moving it to the species page.
