Kansas Saddleback? - Acharia stimulea

Kansas Saddleback? - Acharia stimulea
Atchison, Atchison County, Kansas, USA
August 26, 2011
Size: 1/2 inch
It LOOKS like a Saddleback caterpillar but I can't find that they're in Kansas? It seemed lighter then photos I saw also...

If it....
looks like a duck.....
;-P

Jealous?
lol........When I found this critter I called my son on the cell and was squealing to him...he had NO idea what I was talking about. I got home...showed the pics of this tiny caterpillar...and then was upset cause wasn't sure I had what I THOUGHT I had. Guessing I do since it was taken out of ID Request.

Howdy..
My long lost DA friend and I commented on the Horsehair Worm at the exact same time!

hehe
I was faster! I was playing with some just recently when someone started screaming at me it was parasitical and was going to attack me. I just laughed at her and kept playing.
