Light arena for insect photography
Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
This shows how I place my camera's ring flash facing outward from the deli container. The flash bounces off and passes through the wastebasket and circline bulbs, bounces off the white-painted inner surface of the oil-change pans, re-enters through the circline bulbs and the wastebasket wall, providing a burst of indirect illumination that gives better color and does a better job of freezing motion than is possible just using the circline bulbs for illumination.
