Sparrow Field, Skidaway Island, Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, USA
August 29, 2011
On the 15th,19th and today 29 August I located, and photographed, a wasp nectaring upon Dill and Black-eyed Suzan within our "Black Swallowtail" plot on the 133 yard "Pollinator Friendly Area" of a berm running along the west side of our 3 1/4 acre Sparrow. Today I finally identified it as, "Vespidae,'Mason Wasp', Pachodynerus erynnis." I feel confident. Please render an ID with any additional info you feel appropriate. Thank you.
