Size: ~18mm
And an eighth of a mile away (Yes we do the 8 hour mile!) we found another – once again in the sun on a poison ivy leaf! We assume it is the same species, but don’t know enough to know for certain.

Moved
Moved from / aktis complex.

Impressive
Numbers. This is a rare animal in Arkansas. Or at least L. aktis is. I think L sericea is more common to the east and north of us. Only three records or so currently anywhere in the state for aktis.

Very nice images
Almost makes me wish I had some poison ivy in my yard so I could step out there and look for one of these guys. :-)
