Bat parasite - Cimex pilosellus

Bat parasite - Cimex pilosellus
Sedona/Oak Creek, Yavapai County, Arizona, USA
September 1, 2011
Size: roughly 4mm
This bat was resting on our house in the riparian alder-sycamore gallery along lower Oak Creek, south of Sedona. The parasite was attached to the foreleg, though I couldn't tell if it was really embedded, or just holding on.
