Identification is based on three other photos of Lintneria separatus published on the Web and photos of other Lintneria larvae. The caterpillar was roaming on a relatively cool, overcast day.

Posting some of your images on the d_UAIC
Hi Sheri
I am managing the Digital Insect Collection (d_UAIC on flickr) for the Insect Collection of the University of Arizona, Curator Prof. Wendy Moore, in the Department of Entomology. Actually, we are building the flickr collection from scratch right now.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/80674874@N02/
We are inviting Arizona nature photographers to submit (or allow us to down-load) interesting, well photographed and identified (or identifiable) arthropod photos. We are looking for images from Arizona and adjacent areas. The images will be used for non-profit, educational purposes only.
The d_UAIC will be tag driven. Location and time data as well as ecological and taxonomic tags will allow the user to do very specific searches like "skippers, Mt Lemmon, Juniper Oak" for example. The d_UAIC will be a valuable tool for AZ nature enthusiasts, teachers and scientists.
You have some very exciting images on Bugguide. If you would like to contribute you can send images to my email mbrummermann@comcast.net or you can also just authorize the d_UAIC to down-load directly from Bugguide.
Your name will appear under the image and as a tag. So you can always easily see which images we are using.
Best regards
