Orange and Black Beetle - Nemognatha punctulata

Orange and Black Beetle - Nemognatha punctulata
Indian Hammoks Park, Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA
August 28, 2011
Size: aprox. 1-1.5 cm
Can't seem to find this guys in the guide. At first I thought of similarly colored leaf or plant beetles, but then I noticed the feet/claws lack the "round pads" of leaf and plant beetles. This guy's legs look more like ground beetle's, tiger's or some long horn's. but did not find anything there either. The last 3 pictures are other individuals photographed in very close proximity at the same time as the one in the first 3 pics. I include them because they show the feet best, and the underside, also to show that some had the dark mark on the wing covers, some had a very faint marks and some were almost totally orange.

Moved Tent.
Moved from ID Request.

ID confirmed by J.D. Pinto: Nemognatha punctulata

Easy enough to fix,
just tag and link again! Presto!

hmmm
Not sure why the other pictures were separated all into individual pictures (I didn't do it) at any rate at least the first 3 should have been left together as they are of the same individual. I included the other three (that is to say pics 4-6)for ID purposes, once IDed I would have separated them or could be even frassed.

Looks to be something in Nemognathinae
V will advise when he returns. Meanwhile, you can find them in the guide here
