I've struggled with
this beauty for a couple days and the best I can come up with is Stenostrophia amabilis (LeConte). Somebody more familiar with the northwestern fauna should chime in.

for your very hard work, Michael! I think you got it!
My specimen has just barely visible (under microscope) yellow stripes near ends of the forewings.
Just to be on the safe side, let's wait for additional confirmation.

I see
On my computer, the list of 'bycid genera on the info page extends WAAAY to the right off the screen. I didn't notice that and couldn't see the genus already listed. My bad!
