There is some doubt about whether A. brunnea and A. tartarea are the same species or not. Recent genetic work suggests that they are very closely related, if not the same species. This photo appears to show them mating. That's not conclusive proof one way or the other, as the fertility of the progeny is the ultimate criterion.
