Kentucky Lichen Moth?
It looks a lot like what we call a "Kentucky Lichen Moth" around these parts, but I don't know what it's doing way the heck up in Maryland. :)

There are only two possibilities and the Kentucky Lichen Moth - Hodges #8061 is noticeably different from the Thin-banded Lichen Moth - Hodges #8066

Cisthene are variable, and some known but undescribed species exist. Never assume anything with this group.
