Well, I keep checking on them trying to get a shot while both of them have their dorsal sides showing, but this is the best so far. Some days they sit a few inches apart, other days they are so close their legs are touching. In many species of spider, the males usually mature earlier than the females. Because of this, they will sometimes find themselves an immature female and sort of claim her and wait for her to mature so they can be the first to mate with her.
