Not sure
I don't think we've figured out how to tell the difference between A. pegnia & thaddeus. I reordered these images to show the best one for habitus ID. Maybe we should move this back to genus level? Also I'll post any other ideas I have on the new 'first' image.

More
Lynette, I have more images of this spider if you need them, including closeup of palps, etc.

Always happy to see them. :-)

FYI.. to Kevin.

Marbled Orbweaver
I found a large female marbled orbweaver at this male's location (although 4 weeks later). I'm waiting till next year to associate them for sure.

Let's see what Kevin
says about the palp close-ups. I don't usually look at those, but he does.

Thanks

Good call! Looks like a match with Tom's image:

Araneus thaddeus?
One hunch: Araneus thaddeus
