Black Longhorned Beetle - Brachysomida atra

Black Longhorned Beetle - Brachysomida atra
1 mile north of Westwood in a clear cut area, Lassen County, California, USA
June 14, 2010
Size: 10 mm
This beetle seems a bit different from the all black male Dimorphic Flower Longhorned Beetle, Anastrangalia laetifica that I added previously:

Shorter tarsi, and less slender body on this specimen. Any further ID help is appreciated - thanks!

Moved from Longhorned Beetles.

not sure yet, but looks more like Brachysomida to me...
[Rhagiini anyway]
will show around

Brachysomida atra (LeConte)

thanks, Jim & Mike

My Thanks too - Mike & V! : )
