Wrong Family
A chalcidologist friend believes this to represent the genus
Heimbra
in the eurytomid subfamily Heimbrinae. Being that
opaca
(Ashmead)
is the only species of the genus known from the USA, it might be presumed that this image represents
Heimbra opaca
. As can be seen from the citation of the original description, Ashmead, too, was wrong about the critter being in the family Perilampidae.

Appreciate the suggestion.
Chalcididae should show enlarged hind coxae (greater than the front) and a swollen hind femora. This little fellow lacks either feature. Still looking for others to get some "nature" shots.
