Large Katydid -
Microcentrum rhombifolium
-
New Haven County, Connecticut, USA
September 10, 2011
This large katydid was climbing on the porch ceiling under the lights at night. I didn't measure it exactly, but it was a little over 2 inches long. Any ideas about genus/species? Is this a male?

Large Katydid
I'd suggest Katydid Amblycorypha hausteca.

That's what I was wondering.
I'm just not experienced enough with katydids to know if it could be something else. Thanks for the suggestion!
