unknown bug - Nicrophorus tomentosus
Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, USA
September 10, 2011
Size: aprox one inch
The bug itself is interesting but the little guys walking around on it's back are more interesting. Anyone know what it is?

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Looks to be a Nicrophorus beetle
and some mites using it as a bus to get to the next feeding/breeding site!

You can read more about the mites on this image
