Remarks
These species cause smooth, tapered swellings on aster stems, near apical branches. "Three [Neolasioptera] species have been described from such galls, although these have not yet been critically examined and may actually be one species." (1) The species are N. albitarsis, N. punicei, and N. ramuscula.
