Ampedus quebecensis Ampedus quebecensis

Are we sure of this ID?
Pronotal vesiture looks pale, which would suggest something other than A. quebecensis.

ID
In addition to Hume Douglas being highly skilled with elaterids, this specimen has been DNA barcoded and there are 5 other DNA barcoded specimens of this species in BOLD that have a 100% match to its DNA barcode. There are 5 A. phelpsi that are < 2% different in their DNA so these 2 species appear to be quite close.

yes I trust Hume, just want to be sure...
Serge LaPlante confirmed, too!

however I do not trust BOLD data. There are many misidentifications in their site. Molecular data is only as good as what is fed in...

For example here: http://v3.boldsystems.org/index.php/Taxbrowser_Taxonpage?taxid=485304

these are clearly not congeneric!
