Pseudomasaris - Pseudomasaris vespoides - male

Pseudomasaris - Pseudomasaris vespoides - Male
Pacific Crest Trail, north of summit of Buck's Lake Road., Plumas County, California, USA
July 18, 2011
Just saw this male briefly as it rested on the stem of a Penstemon, in a somewhat open area along trail in surrounding montane chaparral and coniferous forest.

I'm thinking it's probably Pseudomasaris vespoides...from what appear to be concave antennal clubs and a curved, lobed, posterior basitarsus (the latter is barely visible between the left edge of the abdomen and the wing). These are two characters used to distinguish male P. vespoides in the 1966 key of Richards.

The Penstemon wasn't in flower so I'm not sure of the species. The likely candidates are P. speciosus, P. laetus, or P. neotericus.
