Blue-Black Spider Wasp - Anoplius apiculatus

Blue-Black Spider Wasp - Anoplius apiculatus
Kill Devil Hills, Run Hill, North Carolina Recreation Area, Dare County, North Carolina, USA
September 12, 2011
Found this wasp in Run Hill too.

Moved
Moved from Sericopompilus.

I'm...
not so sure this is Sericopompilus. With what appears to be dense, gray, appressed pubescence it looks more like Anoplius apiculatus.

Thanks.
Thanks for the I'd.
