Brush-tipped Emerald in the Canadian Maritimes: a new late record? - Somatochlora walshii - Female

This may be the latest date in the Canadian Maritimes (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island) for this species. The eight previous September records I could find run from September 2nd, 1999 at Mushamush Lake in Nova Scotia to Isaacs Lake at Highway 348 in Prince Edward Island on September 15th, 2001. Anyway, it was a bit of an ID puzzle as well, but Bug Guide helped me figure it out with this pic:

Hi Denis. Glad the pic was of some help to you. Here in Manitoba, Brush-tipped female is the only one with those distinctive rings. Right now, our late date for S. walshii is August 30. Nice find, and in your own back yard too!
