Ants, Aphids and Larva -
Lasius aphidicola
Coldstream, Southern, British Columbia, Canada

I lifted a log and found these ants busy farming the aphids and I presume also trying to hide their larva.

Much better than my blurry ones from Missouri (with a different aphid):
Interesting to see the dark-bodied adult aphid among the pale nymphs.

Looks like you have Formicine ants in the genus
Lasius
. Someone else might be able to give you more detail.
