Cropping, please
It helps to crop more tightly as the instructions recommend. The insect shows a lot better, besides there is no need to see the flower and the surrounding empty space.

The ID on the other photo correct
Snowberry Clearwing - Hemaris diffinis

Among several differences, the following is rather obvious:

Dark legs= Snowberry Clearwing

White legs= Hummingbird Clearwing

Dark legs are indeed the clincher for this not being H. thysbe.
