I have successfully reared 15 Monarch caterpillars to butterfly this season. Tagged and released them all for migration. Found this critter on my geraniums yesterday morning and, since the rearing tower is now empty, moved this caterpillar, and the geranium pot, into it. Would really like to know what it is and whether I should simply set it outdoors again or try to rear it to maturity. Can't find it on your website, nor in any of my books. I'm stumped. YOur ID and advice is very needed. Thank you.
