It's certainly tough to get good in-flight photos. Most of the things I've read indicate a maximum speed of 1/1000 second for the flap of a wing. (I realize this is a generalization.) However, I've shot at 1/1250 and not been able to freeze action. Out of curiosity, what was your shutter speed on this shot?

I can't take credit. I shoot with a Sony DSC-H1 on full auto. It shot at 1/1000 sec for this image.
