Eastern Pondhawk? - Erythemis simplicicollis - female

Eastern Pondhawk? - Erythemis simplicicollis - Female
Ridgeville, Mineral County, West Virginia, USA
June 15, 2006
I'm not absolutely certain about this identification, so I'm eager to hear from someone who can help confirm it. This specimen looks thicker than some in the guide but very much like others. I hadn't seen him before this week.

We're going to unlink this image from
the other two, since they are male and this is female.

We would say you're right
except it's a her! Nice well fed female Erythemis.

Thanks, again!
Always grateful.
