Ground Cricket? - Hoplosphyrum boreale - female

Ground Cricket? - Hoplosphyrum boreale - Female
Chimineas Ranch, San Luis Obispo County, California, USA
September 22, 2011
Size: ~1.5cm w/ovipositor
Found under rock in mixed juniper scrub, thinking adult based on well developed ovipositor. Not up on my crickets.

Scaly cricket
An adult female H. boreale -- full sized ovipositor. All female scaly crickets are wingless.

I think this is a nearly mature nymph of
Hoplosphyrum boreale (Western Bush Cricket), but I'm not certain. There may be other similar species I haven't considered.

I think you're right
Thanks Dave! That looks like a much better match.
