Orconectes validus - Female

Size: 4.5 cm
Keyed to species using Hobbs Keys to Orconectes and confirmed with examination of the gonopods of a male caught in same location with female. Also supplemented Hobbs Keys with J.F. Fitzpatrick's paper on the Orconectes genus (The Ohio Journal of Science, Vol. 67, No. 3, May 1967)

Males and females are essentially identical except for genitalia.
