Green cat with spots - Darapsa myron

Green cat with spots - Darapsa myron
Lambertville, Monroe County, Michigan, USA
September 9, 2011
Size: 1 inch plus a bit
Which one is this please? I found this one completely covered with what looked like parasite eggs. (white, long, attached at the end) I knocked them off. (I know the owner of the eggs has the right to live too, but it really made me sad to imagine what was going to happen to the cat)

Moved from ID Request.

Darapsa myron
Virginia Creeper Sphinx (in this case it looks like it's from a grape, another host plant).

caterpillar
Knocking off the parasites won't do any good. The caterpillar is probably filled with them and more will just keep emerging. You can see all the black emergence holes on this caterpillar where the wasp larva have emerged. This is a Sphinx moth caterpillar. Someone else will be able to identify it as to species.

Wow, bummer . . . poor thing. It's been so long since I've seen any Sphinx moths too! Thanks for update.
