Unknown. Other members of the Schinia tertia group feed of Asteraceae and the similar S. albafascia feeds on rubber rabbit brush (Ericameria nauseosa). (1)
See Also
Easily confused with S. albafascia, which has a larger, bold, quadrate discal spot on the hindwings. In ferrisi the spot is smaller and somewhat cresent shaped. The hindwing marginal band in ferrisi is also less bold and narrower than albafascia. Easlily separated by genatalia disection. (1)
