Syrphidae, Syrphid Fly, Pseudodoros clavatus,(Larva and Puparium), I believe? - Dioprosopa clavata
Skidaway Island, Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, USA
September 28, 2011
The adult Syrphidae, Syrphid Fly, Pseudodoros clavatus is very prevalent along our Sparrow Field, 133 yard "Pollinator Friendly Area" (on berm) where we have the Milkweed species, Asclepias curassivica on most plots. ( Unable to get A.tuberosa to grow on the island) We value the aggressive larvae "Pseudodoros clavatus" which I believe I documented today the larvae and pupa. I am a poor English major, that loves bugs.ID please? The wind was blowing, not best image.
