Clostera jocosa - Clostera jocosa

Clostera jocosa - Clostera jocosa
Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, Collier County, Florida, USA
June 10, 2006
Three individuals in one "bivouac." The orange markings on the side threw me off, but based on its location and behavior I have to assume it's C. inclusa.

*Updated in 2019 with new identification.

Moved
Moved from Angle-lined Prominent.
This caterpillar should be jocosa according to the new Fascicle (1)
Steve Nanz will be filling in the details

Info Added
But there really is not much to say. Adults of this former subspecies of Clostera inclusa are separated by genitalia. The authors of MONA Fascicle 22.1A (1) we not able to find verified records of inclusa south of northern Florida. I will be adding a page for this species at MPG next week but we have no images as of yet.

Thanks
