Size: 2.5cm
I came across this fairly good sized Scarab last night at Sabal Palm Sanctuary and feel pretty sure it is Dichotomius colonicus but was hoping someone might be able to confirm? Also, I believe it's a male, thoughts?

Need to snoop around. That far south, I am inclined to believe it is colonicus but there may be some overlap there with carolinensis.

 
The fact that Riley & Quinn's
The fact that Riley & Quinn's extensive inventory of the Sanctuary only lists D. colonicus has me leaning more in that direction.
